Happy Thursday everyone! Today I’m showing off my Sew Caroline Sugar Pop Top. As you can tell from the picture, this top has been in my blog que for awhile- these photos were taken before I chopped all of my hair off! What can I say? It was time for a change! This is the second Sugar Pop Top that I’ve sewn. My first one was a birthday gift for my sister and it was sooo cute! But dumb me, I forgot to take a picture and despite all of my power of persuasion I cannot get her to model for me! Just take my word for it- it is precious!
On this version of the Sugar Pop Top I added several inches to the bottom and made it with a high low hem. I seem to be drawn to this length, I guess because it works well with my favorite skinny jeans and gives a little more coverage for the junk in the trunk. Nod if ya get me!
I picked up this fabric at Hobby Lobby and still have a couple yards left over! The Sugar Pop Top doesn’t take much fabric! And it’s super easy to sew! The fabric is a material almost like satin. I even went back later and purchased a red in the same fabric to make my daughter a skirt- so that will be coming soon. It was a great fabric to work with my only complaint is you can kinda see the spray starch and iron marks. But, I still love the way the top turned out!
I wore this outfit to one of our first football games! It was perfect and comfortable and I received many compliments on my top!
The puppies wanted in on the action! And aren’t they just the cutest props?!
Until next time…Regan
